The all-new 2020 Subaru Outback has been revealed! It debuted this past week at the New York International Auto Show. Like the Legacy, it will be bringing in a few new features and updates to the table, but the Outback also boasts a few additional unique enhancements with this redesign.

Like the Legacy, it will receive a new 11.6-inch STARLINK Multimedia display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Subaru STARLINK Safety and Security will also be offered, giving you the opportunity to enjoy features like climate control and remote engine start from your phone, plus an additional concierge service. The Outback will also come in line with the rest of the Subaru line up and be based on the new Subaru Global Platform. This provides enhancement in driving control as well as a smoother and quieter ride.

The 2020 Subaru Outback will retain options for a lot of the safety features it has now, such as standard Subaru Eyesight, plus LED steering responsive headlights, blind spot detection with lane change assist, rear cross traffic alert, and reverse automatic braking. Additionally, the Outback will also have optional Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering, which provides steering assist if the vehicle sways outside the lanes, a Front View Monitor, and DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System.

If you think that’s a lot, it doesn’t stop there. The 2020 Outback will also be given a direct-injection 2.4L turbocharged boxer engine on specific XT models. These include the Limited XT, the Touring XT, and the all-new Onyx Edition XT. The XT boxer engine will boast a 260 horsepower at 5,600 RPM performance and delivers a 3,500 lb towing capacity.

The Onyx Edition XT will build off of the Premium trim, but will have an exclusive black-finish exterior elements with 18-inch alloy wheels, and a gray two-tone interior. The seats will have a water-repellant StarTex material, and it will feature a Hands-Free Power Gate (an additional new feature to the Outback).

Look for the 2020 Subaru Outback to hit our lot sometime in the fall. In the meantime, if you are in the market for a 2019 Subaru Outback, we have many great incentives happening through the next few months!
