Spangler Subaru Blog

Now until the end of October, we will be collecting donations for the Taunia Oechslin Girls Night Out Foundation. The foundation was established thirteen years ago after Taunia Oechslin lost her battle to breast cancer.

During her fight, Taunia advocated for the education and proper care, management, and prevention of breast cancer for all women. The foundation was established in her memory to help carry out her convictions. All proceeds that the foundation collects then get donated to the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center, just as Taunia had wanted.

As you may recall, the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center was also our local charity partner during the Subaru Share the Love Event the past three years. While the JMBCC will no longer be our partner, as we only establish three year partnerships in order to Share the Love with other non-profit organizations in our community, we still want to do what we can for the center.

To donate, stop in to the dealership and find the Pink Boot next to the cashier. We will be collecting donations starting now and all the way until the end of October, when a representative from the foundation will pick up the boot and all donations collected. As a Subaru Loves to Care facility, we want to do what we can to help fight back against cancer.
