It should go without saying that we love pets, and one way we celebrate (and help) pets is by throwing events throughout the year specifically for them!

A few years ago we began our annual Pet Trick or Treat at Windber Recreational Park every October. In a few short years it has grown to be a staple in the Spangler Subaru identity. The event’s mission is to help aid local shelter animals while simultaneously providing a fun event for local pets and their parents. We host and assume all costs of the event because not only do we love pets, but it is also the right things to do.

Our heart has been itching, however, because we feel that one event is simply not enough to help shelter animals in the area. So this is why we are bringing in a second event!

On April 5th, we will be hosting the first annual Easter Beg ‘n Hunt with Habitat for Hounds! The event will take place at Richland Fire Hall with activities both inside and outside (weather dependent) and there will be a myriad of activities for you and your pet.

At the Beg ‘n Hunt stations your pet will have the opportunity to sniff out treats at the ball pit search, agility course, bunny buckets and more! You can win prizes at the mini-plinko and receive smooches at the kissing booth.

While you are taking breathers in between games, you can take chances on the basket party, shop for bakery treats, and watch demonstrations. To top off the event, you and your pet can get pictures with the Easter bunny!

Photography will be provided by BridgePerspective and digital files will be made available after the event. A recommended $10 donation is suggested for the photography.

Admission is free, however a small donation may be suggested for each activity. All proceeds go directly to the Habitat for Hounds building fund. You can find out more information on our event page. This event further establishes our Subaru Loves Pets initiative under our Love Promise banner.
