Santa's Reindeer Come for a Magical Visit
Feel the crisp, cool air, the snow crunching under your feet, and the warmth of the hot cocoa as it hits the bottom of your belly. See the lights shining through the trees, the white covering the green limbs, and the smiles on the children’s faces. Hear the jingle of bells, the whooshing of the wind, and the jolly, “Ho Ho Ho,” Santa bellows for peace and joy for all. There is always something special in the air this time of year, and we had the privilege of experiencing this magic when Santa’s reindeer came to visit Spangler Subaru.
For the past five years, Spruce Ridge Reindeer has been bringing their majestic, hoofed animals to our dealership to kick off the Subaru Share the Love® Event. This year, Vixen and Clarice made the trek to spread joy to local families. We brought in a professional photographer, Sunset Farms Photography, to capture these unique visits so that these families, and especially the children, can cherish this moment for years to come.
This event is not just to spread cheer, but it is also to help our local charity partners and, ultimately, our community. All funds raised from this visit went to benefit Conemaugh Valley Conservancy. The organization works to restore our local ecosystem and provide more outdoor recreation opportunities in the area. Notably, they employ volunteers who work with the Stream Team to monitor water quality in our local watershed, including the Stoneycreek River, Little Conemaugh, and tributaries that flow into these. Like the reindeer, all wildlife needs habitat to support their survival. Just as the reindeer return to the North Pole, aquatic life is returning to our rivers.
