Greater Alleghenies Light the Night

Join us for this year’s Volunteer Led Greater Alleghenies Light the Night. Approximately every three minutes, someone in the United States is diagnosed with a blood cancer. This includes many people in Johnstown and the surrounding areas. Every year, blood cancer patients, survivors, and their families and friends lift their lanterns in support of the fight against the deadly disease. Through fundraising efforts, the Greater Alleghenies Light the Night has helped advanced research that has led to many cures and therapies in recent years.

However, economic circumstances and a changing health environment had originally forced the Greater Alleghenies walk to be scheduled virtually in 2023, removing the in-person factor for attendees and fundraising teams in our area.

We recognize the importance of hosting an in-person walk. Blood cancer has not stopped and neither should our fight against it. Because of our commitment with Subaru Loves to Care, we are proud to announce that we will be hosting a Volunteer Led Greater Alleghenies Light the Night walk this year.

We will carry our illuminated lanterns in red, white, and gold around our parking lot. There will be additional activities and refreshments, and all funds raised go directly towards LLS. Parking is limited; please try to carpool.
